Each year, the club members of the Alabama Star Wars Syndicate make it a tradition to choose a State or National charitable organization. We then use our creative spark to further their cause by organizing various support events centered around the Star Wars saga. Costumed characters, fund raisers, and raffles are all examples of the events we organize and support yearly. Check out both our past and present charities below!
- Current Club Charity -
This year, we are support whatever charity best suits the event we do, so we do not have a single patron charity for the year. Check out who we're supporting and have supported thusfar!
All event proceeds from our 'Celebration in the 'Ham' event this year will go towards the Children's Hospital.
We have several movie premieres lined up for the summer months, and the American Red Cross will be there with us with their bucket drives helping raise funds.
- Past Club Charities -
At the beginning 2006, we were proud to take on 'JDRF' as our new charity focus. We're all about kids and bringing the magic of Star Wars to them, so this was a natural selection for our club. Thus far, we have held numerous raffles and attended 'JDRF' functions in central Alabama.
The American Cancer Society 'Relay for Life' program suited our club very well over the course of a year until we traditionally adopted a new charity for yearly diversity. We held numerous raffles and also participated in a 'Relay for Life' event with the local Cullman, AL chapter.
